New Trier Blames Brew-Ha-Ha on “Yearbook Software”

New Trier High School on Wednesday tried to explain how a controversial photo ended up in the school yearbook.

The picture showed two girls hugging.  One of them was holding a can of beer.

The school said someone changed the photo without permission and promised to investigate.

"It happened due to vulnerabilities in the yearbook software program, which we are changing for next year.  We don’t know which student(s) was responsible," said school spokeswoman Linda Blair.

Possible consequences for the students involved could range from a school suspension to charges of underage possession of alcohol.
