Hundreds of children and adults will be able to stay warm this winter season thanks to generosity of strangers.
More than 900 coats were donated during the annual NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago Making a Difference Coat Drive.
Between Nov. 20 and Dec. 4, participants donated new or gently used coats at several drop-off boxes at locations across Chicago and the suburbs.
In all, 952 coats were donated during the Making a Difference Coat Drive. Those in need of a jacket can head to the Salvation Army to receive a voucher for a coat.
