NBC 5, Telemundo Collect Nearly 1,000 Coats for Salvation Army

In all, 952 coats were donated during the Making a Difference Coat Drive

Hundreds of children and adults will be able to stay warm this winter season thanks to generosity of strangers.

More than 900 coats were donated during the annual NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago Making a Difference Coat Drive.

Between Nov. 20 and Dec. 4, participants donated new or gently used coats at several drop-off boxes at locations across Chicago and the suburbs.

In all, 952 coats were donated during the Making a Difference Coat Drive. Those in need of a jacket can head to the Salvation Army to receive a voucher for a coat.
