Thieves Snag $30K Worth of Apple Gear in Under a Minute

Two other robberies have occurred at the same store within the last nine months

Five masked robbers stole about $30,000 worth of computer equipment in under a minute early Monday from a west suburban Apple store.

The robbery happened at the Apple store, at 120 W. Jefferson Ave., in Naperville early Monday morning, a release from Naperville police said.

Police responded about 12 minutes later and found the glass front door of the store shattered.

According to store video, five suspects entered the store wearing hooded coats, ski masks and gloves, and carrying large tote containers. Once inside, they placed computer equipment into the containers and fled.

The video showed the subjects were in the store for less than a minute and got away with about $30,000 in equipment.

Two other robberies have occurred at the same store within the last nine months.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. Callers can remain anonymous and a reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
