A home exploded in north suburban Libertyville Wednesday amid severe weather and area flooding, the Lake County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
Firefighters from several departments responded to the 1700 block of Sunnyview Road about 2:38 p.m. where the home "sustained major structural damage."
The sheriff's office said residents in the area were allowed to return to their home.
Westbount Route 137 was open and eastbound was reduced to one lane
No injuries were reported and explosion remained under investigation.
