Peek Inside the Museum of Science and Industry's 'Moon Room'

To honor the historic Apollo 8 mission - the first crewed spacecraft to leave Earth's orbit, orbit the Moon and return safely - Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry is hosting a month-long celebration of the Moon.
Part of the celebration is the Moon Room 1968, a midcentury living room to set the scene "where millions of Americans watched the Apollo 8 mission live from their television sets," MSI says.
In the re-creation of a living room from that era, you can stage photo ops, create a telegram and find plenty of retro surprises. The exhibition runs from Dec. 6 through Jan. 6 and is included in the museum's price of admission. Take a look:
