Mix of Clouds, Sun to Open Weekend

A bit of a warm-up is eventually in the forecast for the Chicago area, but the weekend will still be off to an unseasonably cool start as temperatures will once again struggle to reach the 40 degree mark.

Saturday will see a mix of clouds and sunshine throughout the region, and high temperatures will settle into the high 30s in the Chicago area and potentially hit 40 degrees in the south suburbs, according to forecast models.

Things will begin to change on Sunday, with a wintry mix possible in the early stages of the day and rain possible throughout the day. Temperatures will still be below average, climbing into the high 30s.

Clouds will stick around through the early stages of the week, but the temperatures will finally begin to climb, as highs are expected to reach the mid-to-high 40s by Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday could be even warmer, with the 50-degree mark in sight, before rain returns to the picture on Thursday.
