Mitchell Trubisky Practices for 2nd Straight Day

For the second day in a row, Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was a full participant in the team’s practice at Halas Hall Thursday.

Trubisky, who missed the Bears’ Week 5 loss to the Oakland Raiders after suffering a shoulder injury earlier this year, was also a full participant Wednesday, and it appears that he could make his return to the field this weekend when the Bears play the Saints.

Wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, who has missed the team’s last two games as he recovered from a concussion, was also a full participant for the second consecutive day.

Defensive tackle Bilal Nichols (hand) and linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe (hamstring) were full participants in the workout.

The only Bears player who wasn’t a full participant Thursday was Ted Larsen, who was limited for a second consecutive day with a knee issue.

For the Saints, tight end Jared Cook, running back Alvin Kamara, and quarterback Drew Brees all missed practice Thursday. Kamara is dealing with a lower leg issue, and his status for Sunday’s game is seemingly in doubt. Brees is not expected to play as he continues to recover from a thumb injury, and Cook is battling an ankle ailment.
