Mitch Goose of Great Britain will be making his 26.2-mile debut following a successful collegiate career at Iona College.
“I am excited to compete at the Chicago Marathon, a race with great tradition in a distinguished city,” Goose said. “With this being my debut marathon, I am venturing into the unknown and hope to learn a lot about the marathon distance to put me in good stead for attempting to represent Great Britain at the 2016 Olympics.
Goose said his running idol is 1996 Chicago Marathon winner Paul Evans and feels "thrilled to get the chance to compete in a race that I have always associated with a guy I look up to.” (Twitter: @MitchGoose)
