UPDATE: Officials say Igor Yushyn was found safe near Minooka. The trucker had reportedly misplaced his cell phone.
The search was on Wednesday evening for the driver of a tractor-trailer who failed to make a scheduled stop in north suburban Great Lakes.
Igor Yushyn last checked in Tuesday at a rest stop along Interstate 80 near Minooka, Ill.
Family members and colleagues at GPS Transport said they haven't been able to reach Yushyn and that his phone is going straight to voice mail.
Yushyn, 42, was driving a 2011 Freighliner Cascadia with license plate VP 74981. He has brown hair, green eyes, stands 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, an alert from the company said.
Company officials did not say what Yushyn was carrying.
