‘Black Panther,' ‘Wonder Woman' Headline Loaded Millennium Park Summer Film Series Lineup

"The Music Man" and "The Wiz" will also be among the featured films this summer at the free event

Every year moviegoers flock to Millennium Park for the iconic landmark’s “Summer Film Series,” and the city of Chicago has announced the films that will be showcased this year.

The movies, which are shown on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., are free to the public, and families are encouraged to bring picnic dinners and blankets to spread out on the lawn while they enjoy the feature. There are a limited number of chairs available in the pavilion’s seating bowl, and they are available on a first come, first served basis.

Here are the films that will be featured in the series:

June 4: “Black Panther”

June 11: “Frida”

June 18: “Love, Simon”

June 25: “Wonder Woman”

July 2: “The Wiz”

July 9: “10 Things I Hate About You”

July 16: “Moonlight” and “Pan’s Labyrinth”

July 23: “The Music Man”

July 30: “Fences”

Aug. 5: “Inside Out” (film will run at 10:30 a.m.)

Aug. 6: “The Muppet Movie”

Aug. 13: “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”

Aug. 20: “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”

For those families who don’t want to bring their own picnic baskets, the Park Grill and the Plaza at Millennium Park will serve up delicious food throughout the movie series.
