Visitors to Medieval Times in Schaumburg will soon see something that has never been seen before at the iconic venue: a queen in charge of the show.

The restaurant and entertainment hotspot will feature a queen as the sole “ruler” of the kingdom for the first time ever, as a new show is making its debut this week.

“It’s definitely a message of heart and confidence,” Sara Schubring told the Daily Herald. “In this new role, the queen has come forth to finally take her place on the throne and in doing so, she can also serve as a role model for women and girls of all ages.”

Medieval Times features jousting matches, sword fights, and other Middle Ages-style battle for guests to enjoy, and patrons at the venue also receive dinner as part of their experience.

Tickets are available for the new show by visiting the Medieval Times website, or by calling 1-888-WE-JOUST (935-6878).
