Martellus Bennett Hints at Retirement in Instagram Post

Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett just signed a three-year deal with the team, but it's not certain that he will play out the deal after a new social media post.

Bennett, who joined the Packers after stints with the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears, posted an Instagram story that seemed to indicate that he will be hanging up his cleats after this season:

"After conversations with my family, I'm pretty sure these next eight games will be the conclusion of my NFL career," he said. "To everyone who has poured themselves into my life and career, these next games are for you. Thank you."

Bennett has become known for his outspoken approach to life off the field, and he founded a multimedia production company as a creative outlet.

In seven games this season, Bennett has hauled in 24 catches for 233 yards for the Packers.
