The newest gelato flavor at Mariano’s could not possibly be more Chicago.
The flavor, Chicago Pothole, is available now in all Mariano's locations with Vero cafes. It is an “elevated Rocky Road” flavor with pecans, dark chocolate chunks, marshmallows and chocolate ganache, according to a press release.
The flavor first appeared in 2016 at the Chicago stop of the Gelato World Tour, a traveling worldwide gelato competition, where it took second place. It was last offered in stores last spring.
Vero will serve Chicago Pothole through the summer.
