Man Wanted for Attempting to Lure Child in Lakeview

Police are looking for the man who tried to lure a boy into a car last week in Lakeview on the North Side.

About 7:15 a.m. May 15, a boy was running east in the 1000 block of West Wolfram Street when a man pulled up next to him in a car, Chicago police said. The man motioned for the boy to come towards him.

The boy stayed on his path and heard multiple horn sounds from the car as he was leaving, police said. The boy turned around and saw the man had gotten out of the car.

The man is described by police as a 40 to 45-year-old man with a slight build and bald with grey hair on the back of his head. He was wearing glasses, a gray and blue sweater and khaki pants.

The man was in a tan Toyota Camry with rust on the passenger side between the front and rear doors, police said.
