A man was wounded in a Wednesday evening shooting while he was laying in his bed in the West Town neighborhood.
The 41-year-old was in bed about 5:30 p.m. when a bullet came through the wall from the apartment next door in the 2200 block of West Maypole, according to Chicago Police.
Paramedics took him to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.
The shooter left the scene before police arrived.
