Man Robs Bank on Near North Side

The suspect implied that he had a weapon, but he did not show one during the robbery

A bank on the city’s Near North Side was robbed Saturday morning.

A man walked into the MB Financial branch at 33 W. Huron at about 10:40 a.m. and handed the teller a note implying that he had a weapon, according to police and the FBI.

He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No weapon was shown during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a 6 feet tall and in his mid-20s with a skinny build, according to the FBI. He was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt.
