A man found shot to death Monday night in a parking lot in north suburban Waukegan has been identified.
Jovan DuBose, 23, of Park City was found on the east side of the parking lot and pronounced dead at the scene, according to police and Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper. He died of from injuries related to a gunshot.
Officers responded to shots fired in the Wal-Mart parking lot in the 3900 block of Fountain Square about 6 p.m., according to Waukegan police.
A hit-and-run crash was also reported at the location, but investigators are still trying to determine what happened.
Investigators are conducting a homicide investigation. They do not believe there is a threat to the community and called it an “isolated incident.”
