Man Dead, Another Wounded After NW Side Stabbing

The two men were stabbed by a third individual with whom they had a verbal altercation, police say

A 25-year-old man is dead and a 30-year-old man is in serious condition after they were stabbed during an altercation Sunday morning on Chicago’s Northwest Side.

According to police, three men became involved in a verbal altercation in the city’s Logan Square neighborhood when a 22-year-old man pulled out a knife and stabbed the other two men.

One of the victims, a 25-year-old, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. The other man was stabbed multiple times and is in serious condition.

Police say that the suspect has been taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police, and any potential charges against the alleged attacker have not been announced.
