Man Charged With Taking Pictures of Boy in Wrigley Field Bathroom

A 37-year-old convicted sex offender has been charged with trying to take pictures of a 12-year-old boy Saturday in a Wrigley Field bathroom.

About 3:35 p.m., the boy was in the bathroom when his father saw the man trying to take pictures of the boy, according to Chicago Police. The father told security and the man was taken into custody.

Police identified the man as Nichols Gregor, and he was charged with two counts of unauthorized video taping and one count of video taping in a public place, all felony sex offenses.

The Illinois Sex Offender registry identified him as Nicholas Gregor, formerly of Glendale Heights, who pleaded guilty in 2011 to child pornography and illegal taping of minors, and was sentenced to six months in jail.

He was arrested for filming a 14-year-old boy in a bathroom in St. Charles in 2010. After his arrest, police found hundreds of videos of child pornography on his home computer in Lombard, DuPage County prosecutors said at his trial.

Gregor is scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
