Chicago police arrested a suspect in the beating death of a 49-year-old South Side man.
Police found the victim dead with blunt trauma on 10000 block of South Calhoun Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
It appears the suspect talked his way into the victim's halfway house, since they knew each other. Reports indicate there was a verbal altercation, and that's when the man struck the victim with a blunt object.
No charges have been filed yet. Area 2 detectives are investigating.
