A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with battery at O’Hare Airport Wednesday after an incident on a United Airlines flight, according to authorities.
Police said Adam Kealing, of Austin, Texas, was charged with one misdemeanor count of battery causing bodily harm and three counts of resisting arrest.
Kealing was arrested around 8:40 p.m. following an altercation on a plane, officials said. Details on who the altercation was with or what happened weren’t immediately clear.
Witness video from the scene showed someone being arrested at the airport and escorted off the tarmac by police.
Chicago Police News Affairs said a police officer was treated and released from a local hospital for a minor hand injury following the incident.
A spokesperson for United Airlines said the altercation was on a United Express flight operated by SkyWest but could not comment further on what happened.
Police said Kealing was taken to an area hospital for an unrelated medical condition and was treated at the hospital before being taken into police custody.
