A 22-year-old man was shot while driving on Lake Shore Drive Wednesday night.
Around 10:30 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire between people inside two cars on Lake Shore Drive.
After being shot the man lost control of his car and crashed on the bridge over the Chicago River in the 500 block of North Lake Shore Drive near Navy Pier, according to reports from the scene.
As the Chrysler Sebring was being towed away, it showed two bullet holes in the lower part of the car and another near the trunk.
Chicago police said a second person was taken to the hospital after having an anxiety attack, but authorities did not know if they were also in the car that was shot at.
Police are investigating if the shooting was gang-related.
