Loyola to Take on Tennessee Saturday, Fight for Spot in Sweet Sixteen

Loyola will face No. 3 seed Tennessee on Saturday

After pulling one of the biggest upsets so far in the first round of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, Loyola will face off against Tennessee Saturday as they fight for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen.

The eleventh-seeded Ramblers on Thursday finished off a shocking win with an unexpected three-point buzzer-beater over the no. 6 Miami Hurricanes.

A win Saturday won't be easy against third-seeded Tennessee, but Loyola's 11-game winning streak is its longest since winning the NCAA title.

Thursday's game has left plenty of focus on guard Donte Ingram, who hit the game-winning shot.

He's being called a March icon, after picking the perfect spot to sink that final basket - standing on the March Madness logo as he sealed his team's 64-62 victory.

The 6 feet, 6 inches tall senior is one of six players from Illinois on Loyola's roster, and a proud graduate of Simeon Career Academy, a Chicago Public School on the city's South Side.

"It's a great feeling," Ingram said after the game. "I thank Marcus you know, for making that pass. Any one of us could have hit that shot but I was just fortunate enough to be in that position. When I seen the shot and I had space, I was confident."
