Loyola-Chicago Nabs 11th Seed in NCAA Tournament

The Loyola Ramblers will be an 11th seed in the South Region when they make their way back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in over 30 years.

The Ramblers, who qualified for their first Big Dance in 33 years with their Missouri Valley Conference championship, will take on the Miami Hurricanes in Dallas on Thursday night, the NCAA announced Sunday evening.

Loyola ended their season on a high note, winning their final 10 games and 17 of their last 18. That run included a 65-49 win over Illinois State, which clinched the Ramblers' conference tournament championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

The Ramblers have made it to one Final Four in their history, as they romped to an NCAA title in 1963. They last made the tournament in 1985, reaching the Sweet 16 round before losing to Georgetown.
