Lori Lightfoot Thanks Mick Jagger for Rolling Stones Concert Shotout

The iconic singer welcomed Lightfoot to office during a Friday concert at Soldier Field

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was given a lovely shoutout from Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger during a Friday show at Soldier Field, and she thanked the iconic singer on social media this weekend.

Posting on her Twitter account, the mayor thanked Jagger for the kind words, and revealed that she's hoping to attend the band's second show at the venue on Tuesday:

"Thanks for the shoutout Mick Jagger," Lightfoot said. "Wasn't at your show last night, but hope to be there next Tuesday. Welcome to Chicago!"

The Rolling Stones opened a new U.S. tour at Soldier Field on Friday night, and will play a second show at the venue on Tuesday.

Jagger also fired a bit of a salvo at Alderman Ed Burke, joking that he was "sorry" the currently-indicted alderman "couldn't make" the show.
