‘Hamilton' Creator Lin-Manuel Miranda Gives White Sox Shout-Out on Social Media

The creator of one of Broadway’s most popular musicals has a new reason to root for the Chicago White Sox, and he gave the team a shout-out on Twitter Friday.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, the actor and creator of the hit musical “Hamilton,” saw a viral tweet that featured White Sox pitchers Ryan Burr and Ian Hamilton sitting together in the team’s dugout, and he gave them a shout-out that referenced several of the musical’s songs:

“Walk less,” Miranda tweeted.

Alexander Hamilton, the first Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, and Aaron Burr, the man who killed Hamilton in a famous 1804 duel, are the stars of "Hamilton," a musical chronicling the life of one of the nation's founding fathers.

As Benjamin Hochman, who originally tweeted the photo, said, the duo gives a whole new meaning to the term “pitcher’s duel.”
