Sparks from the rim of a stolen Porsche flew over Lake Shore Drive Friday night after police gave pursuit to the sports car and authorities chased down its occupants who bailed and fled on foot.
Officers first got eyes on the stolen vehicle in the 3700 block of South Cottage Grove and followed it to 67th and Lake Shore Drive, police said.
Unconfirmed reports from the police scanner said the vehicle was taken from the Kenwood neighbourhood.
Two people were in custody and an investigation was ongoing.
