There aren’t many players who are superstars on social media in Chicago, but Chicago Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long is one, and his notoriety has gotten him noticed by a major publication.
That publication is Sports Illustrated, who put out their list of the top 100 Twitter accounts on Wednesday morning. Long was named as one of the athletes that fans should follow on the social media network, and he was the lone Chicago athlete to be included on the countdown.
The Chicago area did also get a team on the list of “must follows” in the sports world, but it wasn’t the Bears. The Chicago Blackhawks’ Twitter account was among five NHL feeds that were highlighted by the venerable magazine.
30 athletes were included on the list, including Long, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, and UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, among others.
