Kris Bryant Back in Cubs' Lineup After Illness

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant is back in the lineup for the team on Friday afternoon as they take on the Los Angeles Angels in Tempe.

Bryant, who has missed the team’s last four games with a stomach ailment, will be in his familiar second spot in the batting order and will play third base against the Angeles, who will start Garrett Richards on the hill.

The Cubs will be playing numerous regulars in the game, including first baseman Anthony Rizzo, right fielder Jason Heyward (who will bat lead-off) and Addison Russell.

Jose Quintana will also make his spring debut for the Cubs as he looks to lock down his role as one of the team’s top starting pitchers.

The Angels will play most of their big league regulars, including Mike Trout, Justin Upton, and Albert Pujols, but will not play Shoehei Otani, who will participate in a B-game instead.

First pitch is scheduled for 2:10 p.m., and can be heard on MLB.com and viewed on MLB.TV.
