While Illinois hasn't made a decision on whether to expand gambling - a new casino may open in nearby Kenosha soon.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was planning to announce his approval for the Menominee Nation and Hard Rock's new $800 million casino this past Friday, but delayed it.
The plans are to build the new casino at the former Dairyland Greyhound dog track.
Walker has said in the past that the project must have the community's support, can't create any new net gambling in the state, and all 10 of Wisconsin's other tribes must also approve it.
The Potawatomi and Ho-Chunk tribes are on the record opposing the Kenosha project.
