Country music star Kacey Musgraves has canceled her sold out show on Thursday due to the frigid cold currently gripping the city of Chicago.
Musgraves, who was scheduled to perform at the Chicago Theatre on Thursday night along with Liza Anne, spread the news on her social media feeds Wednesday, apologizing to fans and announcing a rescheduled date for the show.
“I’m so sorry!” she tweeted. “Safety is absolutely the most important (thing). Love y’all. Stay warm!”
The show has been rescheduled for March 25, according to Musgraves.
The show cancellation is one of hundreds of events and attractions that have been postponed through the Chicago-area as a cold weather mass sits over the city. Temperatures into the overnight hours on Thursday could hit record-low levels, and the high temperature on Thursday is expected to land somewhere around zero degrees.
