Josh McCown Signs With Buccaneers

Josh McCown has signed a two-year, $10 million deal with the Buccaneers, ending his time with the Chicago Bears.

McCown's recent trip around the United States looking for jobs wasn't exactly a good sign of the quarterback's return, but fans were hopeful he'd want to be back in the Windy City. Even Cutler and the Bears made it clear there was still a place for him on the roster if he was willing to come back.

McCown, who started five games last season, was named one of the NFL's Players of the Week in December for his amazing run against the Dallas Cowboys that coach Marc Trestman called "amazing."

While Cutler was sidelined with an injury last season, McCown did so well that some fans called for him to start instead of starting quarterback Cutler.

At one point, some questioned whether Cutler's job was in question, but McCown wasn't fazed.

"I understand my role is the backup quarterback," he said. "That's where I gain the most satisfaction in looking out over this stretch and thinking I played some good football."
