The Chicago White Sox didn’t have a lot of tough decisions to make in free agency this season, but they did finalize one deal as they’ve reportedly agreed to terms with first baseman Jose Abreu.

Abreu, who hit 33 home runs and drove in 102 RBI for the White Sox last season, signed a one-year, $13 million deal to avoid arbitration, according to FanRag Sports’ Robert Murray.

Abreu has been the subject of trade rumors all offseason long, but no one can argue with his consistent production since he joined the team in 2014. Abreu has hit at least 25 home runs in each of his first four MLB seasons, and has driven in over 100 runs in each of those campaigns.

Last year, Abreu became just the sixth White Sox player to ever hit for the cycle, and also became just the fifth player in MLB history to hit 100 or more RBI in each of his first four MLB seasons. He is also one of three players in MLB history to hit at least 25 home runs and drive in 100 or more RBI in each of his first four seasons.
