Former Chicago Bulls forward Jimmy Butler made waves when he gave out his cell phone number during a press conference, but that crazy story had a remarkable ending this week.
In a Facebook post, a California man said that he and his fellow fantasy basketball players included Butler’s number in a group text message chain during the season. After the regular season wrapped up, the man joked that Butler owed them $20 for the league fee, but he got a lot more than that:
“Today I got a package in the mail from Jimmy Butler and his agent Bernard Lee,” Bowen said. “A pair of game-used Jordan’s autographed by Jimmy, a Butler T’Wolves jersey, and a $20 bill for league fees.”
Needless to say, Butler will likely be one of the top picks in that league next season.
