Javier Baez, Ben Zobrist Get Into Halloween Spirit With Costumes

Baez dressed up his son in an adorable outfit, while Zobrist confused neighbors with his look

Halloween is a time for scary costumes and eating up gobs of candy but for Chicago athletes, it’s also a time to show off their creativity and their adorable kids.

For Chicago Cubs infielder Ben Zobrist, he made sure to dress up for the occasion, but the problem was that no one could quite figure out who he was trying to portray:

“Candy revolutionary charging into the neighborhood,” he said. “George Washington, Napoleon, Captain Morgan, and everything else I was called tonight while chasing kids around the neighborhood.”

Our best guess is that he was going for a George Washington from the musical “Hamilton” look, but he never did quite reveal where he was heading with his costume.

Cubs infielder Javier Baez didn’t reveal what his costume was for the holiday, but his son, born earlier this year, was definitely into the holiday spirit:

Baez’s son dressed as Captain America, and essentially stole the hearts of all Cubs fans with his adorable ensemble.

Unfortunately for other Chicago teams like the Bulls and Blackhawks, they had to play road games on Halloween night, preventing us from getting a look at their creativity for the holiday.
