The city has sent out almost 175 trucks to treat the streets Tuesday night to prevent already wet roads from freezing with falling temperatures.

The city’s Department of Streets & Sanitation deployed 174 snow-fighting trucks about 7 p.m. Tuesday to patrol and treat any roads that become slick, according to a statement from spokesman Matt Smith.

Temperatures are predicted to be in the teens overnight.  There's a chance for light snow flurries.

Temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-20s Wednesday and Thursday, with a slight chance of snow each night. Single-digit temperatures will then move into the area Thursday and Friday nights.
