For area residents looking for something fun to do this winter, a new construction project in Lake Geneva is sure to amaze you.

Starting on Wednesday, visitors can experience an incredible Ice Castle, built in Lake Geneva by Ice Castles LLC. The structure, which is made entirely from ice, features tunnels, fountains, slides, thrones, and cascading towers of ice, and it’s all illuminated by color-changing lights, the company said in a statement.

The structure was originally supposed to open earlier this month, but due to warm weather and rain, the construction was slightly delayed.

The project took about eight weeks to complete, and is one of six that the company operates throughout the United States.

The Lake Geneva location will open on Wednesday, and tickets will go on sale Monday on the company’s website. General admission for the structure is $15.95 on weekdays and $18.95 on weekends for adults ages 12 and up, and for children under 12 the cost is $10.95 during the week and $15.95 on weekends.

For more information on tickets, and for more photos and videos of other ice castles throughout the country, visitors are encouraged to check out the company’s website and social media accounts.
