iSafe? Teen Arrested in iPhone Thefts

Teen not officially a suspect in three other recent iPhone thefts

A Rogers Park teen is facing felony charges in connection with at least two cell phone thefts on the city's North Side.

Anthony Williams, 17, was arrested Sunday and charged with one count of felony theft and one count of felony strong-armed robbery, the Sun-Times reports.

On Nov. 23, Williams allegedly stole a $500 cell phone from a 29-year-old woman walking with groceries on the North Side, according to the Sun-Times.

One week later a 33-year-old woman was reportedly punched on the side of the head before her iPhone was ripped from her coat pocket, according to the Sun-Times.

Williams, who was with another suspect, allegedly said to the victim, "You in our hood."
