House Music Film Being Shot in Chicago

DJ Lil Louis directing movie about genre, "The House That Chicago Built"

Before Lil Wayne or Lil Jon there was a Chicago house music DJ by the name of Lil Louis.

He's one of the many legendary DJs and producers who've helped stake Chicago's claim as the birthplace of house music, and that story is being captured on film.

Louis is directing a movie about the genre called "The House That Chicago Built," and is calling on Chicagoans to help his cause.

A party will be held March 10th at the Zhou B Art Center (1029 W 35th St) which will also serve as live footage for the film. Details are scarce, but expect to hear a lot of classic house music.

Tickets are $20 at the door and $15 in advance for the event, which will be held from 5 p.m.-2 a.m.

Looks like you know where to jack, jack, jack your body this weekend.
