These Are the Hottest Chicago Neighborhoods, Suburbs: Report

No matter what side of Chicago you look at, there are some booming neighborhoods and suburbs to live in, according to a new report.

Crain’s Chicago Business released its mid-year list of the hottest Chicago neighborhoods and the hottest suburban markets and whether you’re northm south or west, it appears there are some growing real estate markets.

The report looked at market data for the first six months of the year in each Chicago neighborhood and looked at number of sales, increase in prices and time on the market.

In Chicago, the ranking was broken up into two lists: single-family homes and condo markets.

For single-family homes, the top neighborhoods were Beverly, Bridgeport, Irving Park, Montclare and South Chicago. For condos, the top markets were in Avondale, Bridgeport, Rogers Park, West Ridge and West Town.

When it comes to the suburbs, two northern towns and two southern towns topped the list. They include Winthrop Harbor and Beach Park in the north and Homewood and Flossmoor to the south.
