Homer Glen Man Wins $200K Lotto Prize

Eric Selof plans to use the winnings to pay off bills and invest in college funds for his children

A southwest suburban man recently won $200,000 after purchasing a lottery ticket at a Homer Glen grocery store.

Eric Selof purchased his Super $500 Frenzy scratch ticket at a Jewel located 14200 S. Bell in Homer Glen, according to a statement from the Illinois Lottery.

Selof and his wife have lived in Homer Glen for 10 years. They plan to use the windfall to pay bills and invest in college funds for their three children.

Super $500 Frenzy is a $5 instant ticket that offers a total of 10 $200,000 prizes. So far, seven of the top prizes have been claimed, the Illinois Lottery said.

Jewel will receive $2,000, or 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
