Two Chicago lifeguards sprang to action on Monday evening to rescue a pair of kayakers in Lake Michigan.
Both boaters were pulled to safety after their kayaks overturned in the water off Kathy Osterman Beach, also known as Hollywood Beach, at 5800 N. Lake Shore Dr.
One boater had to be hospitalized.
Information about the kayaker's condition was not available Monday night.
There were no beach restrictions Monday, according to the Chicago Park District website.
