  • A reminder for fans: tickets to the Hawks' preseason games against the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Detroit Red Wings will go on sale Monday morning at 10am. [Blackhawks.com]

  • A lot of Hawks fans are familiar with the name Brandon Pirri. After all, he's had several appearances with the big club, and scored more points than any other player last season in the American Hockey League.   • The Blackhawks will travel less than any other team in the newly formed Central Division, with only 38,680 miles to be travelled over the course of 82 games.   • The St. Louis Blues continued strengthening their roster over the weekend, signing restricted free agent Magnus Paajarvi to a two-year contract. They had traded David Perron to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for Paajarvi's rights earlier this summer. [Toronto Sun]
