Federal officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever stole 35 guns Thursday from a Hammond, Ind., gun shop.
Police responded to a burglary alarm at Deb’s Gun Range, at 6819 Kennedy Ave., in Hammond at about 4:15 a.m. Thursday to find the front window and door smashed in, David Coulson, a spokesman with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, said.
The thieves took about 35 guns, he said, although he didn’t know if anything else had been taken.
The gun range is a licensed seller of firearms, Coulson said.
Coulson said the ATF suspects several people were involved but that no arrests have been made.
