There is Cody Parkey fever in Philadelphia.
Did you ever think you would read that sentence?
After the former Eagle missed a game-winning field goal attempt to secure the Birds' 16-15 playoff win over the Bears Sunday, Parkey has become Philly's favorite athlete and it was evident Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center.
Of course Gritty got in on the fun with the "Cody Parkey challenge."

A Parkey Eagles jersey was also spotted in attendance.
When it was shown on the Jumbrotron, a big applause broke out.

Give credit for how Parkey has handled the magnified failure. He took it on the chin and was honest and respectful after the game (watch the video above).
Both the Flyers and Blues are near the basement of the NHL standings. The Flyers haven't provided fans much to cheer about at all this season, so Parkey was cheered Monday night.
