One of Chicago's most popular charity bashes is back in the mix after a one-year hiatus.
The Green Tie Ball goes down Sept. 17 at Finkl & Sons (2011 N. Southport).
Chicago Gateway Green's fundraising event offers food from more than 60 restaurants and food trucks, premium open bars, a silent auction and charitable gaming.
DJ Rock City provides the beats along with various live entertainment including, we're told, a break dancing tin man, scarecrow and lion.
This year's theme is "Return to the Emerald City" and is hosted by Tim Smithe of Walter E. Smithe and Stephanie Castagnier, former contestant on "The Apprentice."
Tickets are $125 for general admission and $250 for VIP.
Proceeds from the event help Gateway Green's efforts to beautify Chicago's roadways.
