It's Oscar day for Chicago restaurants. Details of the Michelin Chicago 2013 dining guide were officially released on Wednesday.
Alinea keeps its three-star status in the guide, but the staff at graham elliot and L20 are celebrating after moving up to a 2 star rating.
Three new restaurants joined a total of 19 restaurants with 1 star, including Acadia, Goosefoot and Mexique.
A total of 433 restaurants featuring 44 different cuisines are covered in the guide, which includes categories such as the Bib Gourmand category for restaurants that offer good quality.
The Michelin guide is available for purchase via print and ebook and an iPhone app will be available later this month.
