Governors State University canceled all classes Friday due to a bomb threat.

The University Park campus, located about 30 miles south of Chicago, said the the threat was made against the university’s parking lots. The university said just before noon Friday that the school was on lockdown.

“Although the threat is considered 'low-level', we are treating it with the utmost caution for the care and safety of our community,” the university said.

No vehicles will be allowed to enter or exit the university’s parking lots until the threat has been cleared.

The bomb threat comes after two similar threats were made against Northern Illinois University and DePaul’s O’Hare campus Thursday.
