Goose Island Celebrates 312 Day With Bike Scavenger Hunt

The first clue was posted at midnight

For fans of Goose Island, Tuesday is a "very real made up holiday."

The Chicago beer company is celebrating what they dubbed as 312 Day by hiding 24 bikes across the city and posting clues of their locations each hour on social media.

The first clue was posted at midnight.

Each bike will be locked, but they can be unlocked with the code 0-3-1-2-0, the company said. Clues will be posted on Goose Island Beer Co.’s Twitter and Instagram.

By 10:30 a.m., 11 bikes had been placed in random spots from the North Side to the South Side. Locations for the bikes included outside former President Barack Obama’s home, in Boystown, Andersonville, Uptown, Wrigleyville, Beverly, and more.

The company also plans to host an event at its Brewhouse with co-creator and producer of the Serial podcast Julie Snyder, and WBEZ’s Curious City.
