Goodman Theatre Sign Catches Fire

The iconic sign at the Goodman Theatre in downtown Chicago caught fire early Saturday morning.

Around 5 a.m., the marquee experienced a "minor electrical fire," according to a release from the theatre.

Flames could be seen falling from the top of the marquee to the ground in a video taken by an eyewitness.

The Chicago Fire Department confirmed that the fire was extinguished shortly after, and flames did not spread to the building.

No injuries were reported and the performances scheduled for this weekend will continue as planned.
